What to expect and our top first-time trails
1 Choose your trail and receive your custom Holiday Pack detailing your daily route and overnight stops. You’ll use these directions, along with the maps supplied, to lead the way along the trail.
2 Leave your luggage at your accommodation and set out on waymarked trails through the UK countryside. Enjoy the freedom to run at your own pace, explore where you like and choose where to eat lunch along the way.
3 Arrive at hand-picked accommodation each night, where you’ll find your luggage waiting for you. Relax, choose a place for dinner and enjoy complimentary breakfast the following morning before you resume your run.
In short, we arrange everything you need to enjoy running a point-to-point trail, leaving all the flexibility required to make the journey your own. If a stress-free adventure sounds right for you, browse our holidays via our search page or holiday location map, or get in touch to see what Contours can arrange for you:
If you have any queries or just want to tell us what you think, we would love to hear from you. Please mention which trail you are interested in so we can get back to you with the relevant information as quickly as possible.
If you are messaging regarding an existing booking, please send us an email, as we cannot change bookings based on Contact form messages.
Looking for the ideal trail running holiday for a beginner? These trails could be the perfect choice. We’ve chosen them for a mix of the quality of the terrain underfoot, the great sights along the route, the ease of navigation as you go, their popularity and their closeness to facilities and civilisation.
If a full week of trail running seems a bit too intense, our short running breaks offer a great alternative. For each of our favourite trails, we’ve picked out one of the best sections for you to run over two days.
These short running breaks are a brilliant way to sample both a route and the overall experience of a trail running holiday.
Heading out on the trails without your four-legged friend sounds like a bit of a travesty! Fortunately, Contours Holidays have been providing dog-friendly holidays for decades, so your pooch is very welcome on any of our holidays marked with the dog-friendly paw icon.
On one of our dog-friendly trail running holidays, your dog is free to run the trails along with you: we’ll carry their luggage alongside yours, and they’ll be free to sleep in your room with you each night. It’s sure to be a memorable adventure for both of you.
You can head over to our dog-friendly page for the full list of applicable trails and a run-through of everything we provide for your dog.
