Day 1: Travel to Milngavie where your first nights accommodation has been booked

Day 2: Milngavie to Drymen. 12 miles (19km)

Day 3: Drymen to Rowardennan. 14 miles (22.5km)

Day 4: Rowardennan to Crianlarich. 20 miles (32km)

Day 5: Crianlarich to Inveroran. 16 miles (25.5km)

Day 6: Inveroran to Kinlochleven. 18 miles (29km)

Day 7: Kinlochleven to Fort William. 14 miles (22km)

Day 8: Depart from Fort William after breakfast

Book an extra night in Rowardennan if you would like to climb Ben Lomond, which provides amazing views of both the Lowlands and the Highlands.

Many people take an extra night in Fort William at the end of the trail to climb Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.

Air

The most convenient major city and international airports are Glasgow and Glasgow Prestwick.

Rail

There is a rail station at the start of the trail (Milngavie) and at the end of the trail (Fort William).

From London - Trains run from London Euston station to Milngavie.

Car

Returning to the start

The easiest way to return to the start of the trail is to take the bus from Fort William to Milngavie.
